Theatre
I have adored acting ever since I was young. Being able to step into the world of a real or fictional other and bring stories to people in real time holds a power that has and will continue to captivate me. Below are some of my favorite roles I have recently played.

Lady Macbeth | Macbeth
One of my dream roles since high school. Shakespeare's writing of his female characters is so complex and really typified in Lady Macbeth. She is strong, intelligent, and persuasive, both in spite and because of her femininity. I have never welcomed a challenge more than portraying the heights and intricacies of her journey. A loving, ambitious, relentless woman determined to achieve united success and happiness is torn apart from the mental strain and isolation that the means to that end engenders. My performance was nominated for an Irene Ryan.

Cathleen | Riders to Sea
A story that brings audiences to stare into the thin line between life and death, Riders to Sea explores family dynamics put under the stress of loss. This family knows all too well that the sea is a dangerous place, but must allow their brother out to provide for the family. Cathleen steps into her role as the eldest daughter, fighting to keep her household together as it drifts apart around her.

Kylie | Investigative Support
Every showing of this partially devised, interactive, escape-room-like production was unique, following the story of a family torn apart. Kylie is the oldest child, terrified at the thought of staying with her mentally ill mother who kidnapped her and her brother from her father, who she also fears may endanger her with his alcoholism. She wants nothing more than for her brother, Leo, to be safe.

Bartley | The Old Man and The Old Moon
This homespun magical realist play brings myth and music together into one hilarious and compelling tale. Bartley brings his dirigible to rescue the Old Man in the last leg of his journey to bring light back to the moon. He is a man of science and logic, but never passes up a chance to bicker with his sunnier brother, Solomon.

Stella | Wishful Thinking
When Tim needs help winning back his girlfriend, he wishes on a shooting star for help. Good thing that shooting star just so happens to be a magical cosmic being! Stella, the effusive, spunky, selfless, ravioli-loving star, comes down to offer Tim three wishes to create the perfect proposal: a starlit ravioli picnic.

Directing | Visitor from Forest Hills
Arguably the most hilarious scene from Plaza Suite, Neil Simon's comedic timing is impeccable. Through the punchlines, he pokes at this central question: What even is love? In the end, the audience is encouraged to contemplate if relationships are as easy to understand as Hallmark movies would have you believe, or if the only people who know the true nature of a relationship are those in it, and often not even them. In my directing, I relied on group work with my actors to determine the reality of the relationships in the play for themselves. I also introduced them to viewpoints to explore the fullness of physicality they could use in their roles.
